This space will serve as a platform to share my work and travel experiences with anyone and everyone who wants to tune in over the next year and beyond. Hopefully this site will educate, entertain and inspire others about work and travel abroad, long term travel and the idea that you can live your dreams if you just go for it.
I’m far from an experienced travel writer. I’m hardly a travel journalist or website developer. I’m just a normal guy who wants to walk run a path less taken and see the world in a different light. I promise to keep the touristy bullshit to a minimum because there are a million other travel sites you can go to for that. I plan on posting stuff that I think is either cool, interesting, helpful or funny about trying to fit into a new culture and work and travel abroad. But most importantly this is a social experiment that tests the human spirit. I will talk about the people I meet, relationships I develop and the community that is Buenos Aires, Argentina and hopefully across South America. This site will go deeper than your average travel blog and hopefully at the end of it all I will see if you can really go from tourist to townie.
I have some marketing experience, some travel experience and I took Piano lessons for 4 years when I was in grade school. I also studied Spanish in high school and college but nothing stuck. I don’t know how any of this will help me on this trip but it can’t hurt, right?
So, with all that said… let’s see what happens…
