On Thursday night one of my best friends from college, Nick Greco, will be flying into Buenos Aires to visit for 2 weeks. I figure it’s gotta be a step in the right direction of becoming a “townie” if I show people around my city. He’s an excellent karaoke singer and proven wing-man so things should get pretty interesting. We plan on documenting the entire most of the trip so everyone should expect some great stuff around the holidays.
We’ve been corresponding via email lately to get everything planned out. Here’s a list of questions (with answers) he sent over this morning to give you an idea of where we’re at…
Is there anything I need to do before I get on the plane? (besides have my passport)
– Buy TSA approved locks for your bags. I guess they get “checked” sometimes in Mexico City.
– Make sure you keep all your tech stuff with your carry-on.
– Print out your entire itinerary just in case someone asks.
– DRINK LOTS OF WATER
– Be Yourself.
Any suggestions or expectations for the airport in Mexico City/changing planes?
– From my experience… Mexico City is a claustrophobic maze. Just ask everyone possible about the connecting flight. They sometimes change gates so just keep your flight information with you and just ask “Donde Esta?” and point to your flight number. I wouldn’t trust just one person’s answer just in case.
Anything you need me to bring to you from America that you can’t get in BA? (legally speaking)
Peanut Butter, Reece’s Peanut Butter Cups, Mounds Candy Bars with and without almonds (because sometimes I feel like a nut and sometimes I don’t) and a Bottle of Patron if possible. Very serious.
Do I need any outlet converters for my electrics?
Nope, I have all the connectors here.
Do you like to party?
I like pool parties, surprise parties and the Party of Five. I don’t like political parties or pity parties.
