Strategic Packing for Buenos Aires, Argentina

I packed all this stuff into my new case logic bag (minus the other 2 bags). This bag is sick. Some essentials: Mac Book Pro, iPod, Flip Camera, 2 External Hard drives, Spanish dictionary, composition notebooks and chewing gum (not pictured).

For me, clothing wise, t-shirts and sweaters/sweatshirts take up the bulk of my luggage. So, I had a fierce elimination competition for my t-shirts and outer layers. I Finalized on 15 t-shirts, 1 spring jacket, 1 suit and 6 sweaters (among other basics). Also, my sneakers weigh a good amount, size 12 (said in Bluto voice), so I had to pack accordingly.

WORDS OF WISDOM: Weigh bags before you travel it will save you a ton on fees. My bags were 48lbs and 42lbs respectively (after a few weigh-ins and adjustments).

  1. Great post, Gareth! Your strategic packing tips for Buenos Aires are spot on. Weighing bags before travel is a lifesaver for avoiding extra fees. One additional tip: roll your clothes instead of folding them to save space and reduce wrinkles. Also, packing cubes can help keep everything organized. Safe travels and enjoy your time in Argentina!
