In the summer it averages 81 degrees and in the winter it’s around 42 degrees. The central region is made up of rolling hills and areas closer to the Gulf of Mexico may experience tropical climates. There are some amazing beaches in the gulf which allows for the weather to stay beautiful year round.

Every year in Mississippi there are some great annual events. Most notably there are some world class golf courses that are utilized by PGA every year for golf tours and tournaments. Some other annual events include the Mississippi State Fair, the Mississippi Delta Blues Festival, the Biloxi Seafood Festival, the Tupelo Elvis Festival, and the Mississippi Blues Marathon/Half Marathon to name a few. The area has a rich heritage and was the birthplace of many classic and contemporary jazz culture and musicians.
