Start your holiday in Las Vegas with a stroll along the infamous Strip. The ‘Welcome to Las Vegas’ sign sits at the start of it, so work your way down from there. Las Vegas is more than aware of its own excesses, so it’s key to lose your inhibitions and embrace the artificial. Exhausted by the infinite shopping opportunities of Las Vegas? Then take an excursion to the breathtaking Hoover Dam on the Arizona/Nevada border. It impounds Lake Mead, and is situated near Boulder City, Nevada, around 40km south east of Las Vegas.
