April Recap:

  • Business was the name of the game in April. With the new T2T site up and running I spent most of the month working on new business ventures and continuing to make updates and additions to the site with a focus on advertising.
  • My apartment in Medellin has been working out great. My Colombian mother lectures me about “serious relationships” and the boys have been working at developing websites so it has been fun.
  • I spent my last few weekends in Medellin rocking out with some Colombian friends and also went out a few nights with Team Medellin (RTW Dave, Wandering TraderMaverick Traveler and Ryan Goes Abroad).
  • On April 11th, I flew back to Buffalo and turned the next day to drive down to North Carolina for one of my best friend’s weddings. We spent one wild night in Morgantown, West Virginia and then enjoyed 4 days in downtown Charlotte.
  • Plus, I bought a new camera!

Current Mission Update: Salsa & Spanish

  • The last few weeks in Medellin were spent speaking a lot in Spanish but not spending much time studying Spanish. Reading and writing are both still a struggle.
  • Just like in March, my ankle is still putting a damper on the salsa party. Now that I’m back in the States my goal is to get serious with rehab so I can get back into the salsa task in the near future.
  • I am actually going to put the Salsa task on hold for the next few months and start on the “Great American Road Trip” task. Due to some business opportunities out west and the June TBEX Conference in Vancouver, I will be on the west coast (Arizona, California, Utah, Washington) for most of the summer. I’m excited to become more of a townie within my own country. If you have any most see locations on the west coast please let me know!

What’s to come in May:
This month I’ll be working and traveling around the west coast of the great United States of America. I’m excited to get to know Arizona and Washington for the first time and I’m also pumped to get back to Park City, Salt Lake City and San Francisco this month. Expect a lot of content from my Great American Road Trip, as well as more travel photos taken with my brand new Canon S95 bad-ass camera.

  1. Funny, for me, reading and writing are easiest; it’s the listening and speaking that’s more of a struggle. Site looks great. Keep it up!

  2. Thanks Steph, maybe it was the lack of formal education for me that does it. I was never good at Spanish in school so I started learning on the fly. Now I want to go back and get the structure down!
