There’s tons of ways to get away this summer before you start your degree and it doesn’t have to cost you working all summer at that lame summer job to get you there.

If you have just finished your exams then the chances are that you need a break! Studying is hard work and you deserve the chance to let your hair down right? Right! Plus, you don’t have to waste your time off just laying around the house watching old Jersey Shore re-runs. Get out and experience life! Take up a new hobby. Start chasing your dreams. Travel Deeper!

What better way to close one chapter and open another than by planning a holiday with your friends? If you have been at school for years with many of them and you are all now about to go your separate ways to study for your careers then what could be a better send-off than a week away with the ones you know you are going to have the most fun with?

There are lots of ways that you can save money from your flights to your accommodation; you just need to be a little bit savvy about it.

Searching online for travel deals or through STA Travel (travel for students) is a great way to get started. With the global economy the way it is, there are deals left and right for younger people to travel.

A few cheap places to consider…

Bolivia – Known to be the cheapest country in South America, you can spend as much here in a month as you would in a week at home. Plus, it’s safer than what most people think. You can stay at a hostel for pennies on the dollar or rent an apartment in La Paz for next to nothing if you’re splitting it between friends.

Poland – Not as cheap as South America, but Eastern Europe still hasn’t hit the economic peaks as it’s western counterparts. Try Krakow, Poland for Starters and pitch in with your buddies for an awesome room at one of the many Krakow Hotels. Also, wine and dine some of the local Polish beauties at one of the many Krakow Restaurants that line the main market square.

Thailand – A backpackers dreamland. This uber-tourist friendly location is the best country to have that great adventure before heading to University. Eat a cobra heart, dance with friendly women or score an awesome view of the sunset at one of the hundreds of Thai beaches. No matter what you do in Thailand, I guarantee they will be memories you and your friends will be trying to remember forever.

There will be a holiday out there for everyone and to suit everyone’s wallet – make sure you shop around though as you want to make sure you save as much money as you can for spending when you get there!

If you can drive then this opens up new possibilities for you as you will be able to go to airports that run cheaper budget flights. You can then drive you and your friends to the airport (you can split the cost of the petrol). Airport parking is very good value for money and so you should consider using one of the many car park services at UK airports. You can either get airport parking right on the airport premises which means that you only have to walk a few yards to get to the departure hall or you can use an independent company who will be situated just a couple of miles from the airport (these are usually cheaper).

When you arrive you will park your car in the secure car park and then be able to get one of the free buses than run regularly to take you straight to the airport. All of the UK airports will offer some form of Airport Parking and a quick search online will yield lots of results.

Heathrow Parking, Gatwick Parking and Liverpool Airport Parking are all readily available and are able to be booked in advance to ensure that you bag yourself the best deal!

This can work out a lot cheaper than if you were to take the train to the airport as it means that you can split the cost of the parking between you and your friends and this will leave you more cash in your pocket to spend when you get there!
